CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

 

Dear SOUTHERN SEAS GLASSES Customers, 

 

In these unprecedented times, we are working hard to ensure the safety and well-being of both our customers and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

 

Our office staff continue to work from home where possible. Our lab specialists and our packing team on-site work according to the government’s recommendation of 2 metre social distancing regulations. We are taking extra care to maintain the highest levels of hygiene across our supply chain too. For example offices, labs and storerooms are all regularly deep-cleaned and all products are cleaned with anti-bacterial solution before dispatch. 

 

Any member of staff with COVID-19 symptoms or who has a family member with symptoms will be required to isolate in accordance with government guidelines. 

 

Most orders are completed in normal timescales (2-3 days for frames over 10 GBP as we custom fit these lenses). However, some delays are inevitable, especially as our suppliers in different countries are having to adapt to COVID-19 as well. We are working closely with all our suppliers to make sure any disruption is kept to a minimum.

ARE YOU STILL ACCEPTING ORDERS?

Yes we are. We have hired extra staff to cope with the higher-than-normal order volumes. 

ARE YOU STILL SHIPPING ORDERS?

Yes we are. However there are some delays to both domestic and international shipping. For example social distancing rules enforced at major postal sorting offices have reduced the number of staff on-shift at any one time, which can cause delays. Please check your local courier/post office provider for more details. 

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SHIP MY ORDER?

We aim to ship all orders within 2-3 working days. Lenses which have to be specially ordered can take up to 5 working days.
